Actus was contracted by the Philadelphia-based EducationWorks to conduct a quasi-experimental impact study of the PowerCorpsPHL program. This program engages disconnected young adults ages 18-28 in AmeriCorps service, preparing them for career-track employment and post-secondary education success in the green jobs sector.
This study found that the PowerCorpsPHL program:
Increased participant employment rates in the first six quarters after program entry.
Increased the likelihood of continuous employment for at least eight quarters after program entry.
Increased participant earnings by 13% in the first four quarters after entry.
